The 2014 Africa Movie
Academy Awards will be honouring South African anti-apartheid leader Nelson
Mandela who passed away last week.
The movie awards will
be taking new shape with different changes with the addition of an award Madiba
Africa Vision Awards named after the late former South African leader to be
received by any film that captures the essence and vision of the category.
Other changes are the
changing of the The Best Film in African Language to Sembane Ousmane Awards for Best Film
in African Language while the Best Short Film Award category
will now be called Efere Ozako Award
for Best Short Film, to honour late
Nigerian entertainment lawyer Efere Ozako.
