Basketmouth to host 2013 Nollywood Movies Award

 
Ace Nigerian comedian and entertainer Basketmouth is set to host the 2013 edition of the Nollywood Movies Awards.

 Having been described as Nigerian’s own Oscars by movie buffs, the organizers of the prestigious award is set to again host a befitting tribute to the best and the brightest of the movie industry.

Revealing plans for this year’s edition of the award which will be holding at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Alfred Soro the Executive Director of The Nollywood Awards said that this year’s awards is dedicated to putting Nigeria’s best face forward.

The awards which will be hosted by inimitable BasketMouth and Nollywood’s own Dakore Egbuson will see six new categories added to that of last year. Best Short Movie, Best Child Actor, Best Soundtrack, Best Set Design, Top Box Office Movie and Best Diaspora Movie are the categories to be added to the 2013 addition.  

Organized by Nollywood Movies, owners of Nollywood Channel, a 24hour movie channel dedicated to showing films from Nollywood on Sky network in the UK and Europe, the Nollywood Movies Awards celebrated both English speaking and Indigenous talents with its first Main Awards Ceremony that took place on Saturday June 2 2012 at the Civic Centre in Lagos, Nigeria.
